Ozark Green Roofs was proud to partner on the green roof installation at Onyx at The Preserve, a new destination from Onyx Coffee Lab located within Bud’s Preserve Park in Bentonville, Arkansas. Designed as a gathering place where coffee, food, hospitality, architecture, and the surrounding landscape come together, the project creates a unique connection between the built environment and Northwest Arkansas’ natural setting.

Ozark Green Roofs installed a living roof system designed to bring vegetation directly into the architectural experience while providing the functional benefits associated with green infrastructure. The planted roof adds visual interest and seasonal change to the project while helping manage rainfall and protect the underlying roof assembly from direct exposure to the elements. The roof also serves as a bikeable connection to the Razorback Greenway, allowing visitors to travel directly through the project while further integrating the building with Northwest Arkansas’ extensive trail network.

At Onyx at The Preserve, the green roof is part of a larger vision centered around gathering, connection, and the surrounding natural environment. The finished project demonstrates how sustainable landscape systems can be integrated into commercial architecture in a way that is both functional and visually impactful.
